Ugurugu

A drawing app where your lines wiggle

Every line you draw keeps boiling, like a hand-drawn animation. Save your drawing as a looping GIF or WebP, or as a PNG with a transparent background.

You can also open .wawa files from WiggleWiggleTool and keep working on them.

Installing

Windows

  1. Run the Setup.exe you downloaded.

  2. If a blue “Windows protected your PC” box appears, click More info, then Run anyway.

macOS

  1. Open the DMG file.

  2. Drag Ugurugu into the Applications folder.

What it does

  • Choose how much lines wiggle and how they move (Classic, Smooth, Stepped), per layer. Keep the background still while the lines move.
  • 17 tools including pressure-sensitive brushes and erasers, stabilizer, paint bucket, selection and transform
  • Layer groups, opacity and blend modes
  • Recovers your work if the app closes unexpectedly
  • Change any shortcut and rearrange panels. Available in English, Korean and Japanese.
  • Updates itself from inside the app

First time?

  1. Create a canvas, pick a brush on the left and draw a line.
  2. Choose a movement in the Wobble panel and press P to play.
  3. Export a GIF or PNG from the File menu.

Press F1 for built-in help. Pen tablets (Wacom and others) get pressure support.
